A few reminders as we start judging the Devvit Daily Games Hackathon
Hi devs!
We are blown away by all the amazing submissions we've received for the Daily Games Hackathon. A few notes as we start judging:
-
Winners are slated to be announced on February 26th! We will send out a notification if this date is moved forward or backward.
-
Please double-check that the subreddit where your app is installed is set to Public. If you don't know how to do this, see the instructions here.
-
Remember, your app does not need to be submitted for publishing. Its "publish state" does not positively or negatively impact how we will judge your game. We just want your app to be in a demoable state on Reddit.
-
Do not update your app during the judging period. If you would like to continue tinkering, please ensure you do so in an entirely separate project (i.e., use a separate Devvit app to iterate or make changes to your code). We encourage you to keep polishing your app in this rule-safe way! However, unless you have explicitly been given an extension, making changes or uploading updates to the Devvit app you submitted for this hackathon may disqualify you from winning.
- A reminder that, beyond announcing winners, we do not release our scoring for these events publicly, but you can find our judging criteria at the bottom of our hackathon page.
Thank you so much for participating in this event! More from our team soon.
